These Abyss Breaches ...

Other than Death, when do the Abyss breaches provide good stuff? Seems like I get the same jewels from these that I am not even doing them ...

In T4 maps, they have a small chance of spawning a portal to the Abyssal Depths, which is a special underground zone that has a small chance of spawning one of two lich unique monsters, which can drop special abyss unique items.

That said I've run many many Abyssal Depth zones and have never seen a lich, so, good luck.

It will be awhile, if ever, that I can get to T4 map. My first character dies in T1 maps if I am not careful. I am trying to do the ALL EARS challenge with this new character and following a build from NeverSink that is for 3.0 but trying to "modify" it to fit this league version.

Maybe invest a couple chaos orbs into a 5L chest and some other items?
You could double your damage and survivability on a very small budget.

I have been looking for new armor but not sure what to invest in for this character and what would get me to Act 10.

Any suggestions ... I have plenty of Chaos orbs ... to get something decent.

Might I suggest Skin of the Loyal? But probably you'd have to completely remake your skill tree. The chest has 0 armor/evasion/ES but gives you 100% increase as if from the passive tree for all your other sources of global defenses. Which when you think about it allows your skill tree to do things that it otherwise wouldn't be able to.

You could combine a Skin of the Loyal with a Rearguard quiver and use armor gear instead of evasion for example. Or use evasion gear with iron reflexes to gain more armor.

When you say "completely remake the tree" how much respecting are you suggesting? I am creating an elemental tornado shot Ranger ...

I got that quiver you suggested, makes a huge difference in the kills but i am too low level to get the armor right now ... I am only level 44 so i will need armor that is usable now until I am leveled enough for something better.

I could respec the acrobatics and get more damage or something else.

At this point (your lvl 44) you dont need better gear for offense. Just make better use of what you have. Like look at your links and min-max the damage. Simply looking at the tooltip DPS when playing around with sockets (or getting 'Path of Building' and playing around with it) would help alot.

If you want to do an 'elemental Tornado Shot ranger' then maybe start with the proper links. I am not an expert with this kinda build but yours look far away from best even to me.
Use at least GMP(Greater Multiple Projectiles) with Tornado Shot.

You have a 'Split Arrow' link. It is almost never a good idea to link it with LMP or GMP. For your Siege Ballista the LMP can make sense. Depends on what you use it for.

More life and defenses on gear may help though.


Edit: Tooltip DPS may not work properly with your 'Doomfletch' bow. Path of Building would be better choice - assuming it works with the bow.

Thanks for the tip, I move the gems around and sure enough they worked much better. Still learning how to move quickly and shot but the Mirage Archer is awesome and I use the Siege Balista to like a totem ... kills pretty good while I am running around shooting myself.
