New Character Intro
It's very late request, but the feel of the first character class intro was very story based and sets the tone that you are a criminal and will be sent to Wraeclast for Redemption (along with whatever theme of the character you pick).
The second introduction was for Fall of Oriath and sets the tone of an overbearing authority banishing you (whether you did the crime or not) to put the focus on Kitava and the antagonist (no voices from the characters we love) and slightly changes the story around them. Since the Abyss League is coming out, even though I am way too late for that boat, it would be enticing to have a new introduction setting the tone for War of the Atlas. I’m a big fan of the current one - Dominus is my favourite character, and I love the theme.
I wonder whether it would be possible to throw the choice into the options menu. Imagine the lack of introspection that would be required to spend your spare time telling people they’ve posted in the wrong section of some company's forum, only to then try accusing someone else of brown-nosing.

Maybe we will get a new intro with every expansion? Haha, probably not though

Imagine a map and when you click on a different region, a different character class is introduced. This would be a nice way to symbolize each character with a specific region as their intro.

I miss the old witch intro. It was something like this:
"They were right to fear me. If only they had listened to their cowardice. Had they not taken my home with fire, I would not have taken their children. Now I am banished to Wraeclast. I've heard the dark rumors, seen the terror in the other exiles' eyes, but to me, this land is like any other. The elements are my allies, the dead are my servants, and fear will be my closest friend." Now that's some serious and seriously fucked up character. Now we just get some lame ass blah blah blah from Dominus. The voice writing has really declined over the years imo. I loved it when the beast/nightmare was referred to as the "twist". It has so much more mystery to it than "big bad monster". I also hate how in 2.0 the Marauder's voice overs were changed. He acts like a Hawaiian tour guide, announcing what each Karui god is for when he says their names. How is that remotely in character? He's a badass Karui warrior, does he really have to reiterate that this god is mother of the dead and that god is father of light? He should take these things for granted instead of explaining them and if the player wants to learn about them and can't infer the meaning from context they can read the in game lore. |

Yeah I really liked the self introductions more, but that was partially because I liked the old login setting more in general.
Since they changed from the boat to an oriathan hall or whatever the new one makes more sense in the current setting. The main thing I liked about the new one is that I liked the fall of oriath theme bgm a lot! But sometimes I play other music with in game music muted. There was something really nice about the rainy aboard a boat theme and transitioning to washed up on twilight strand. Maybe if there was some way we could choose our login screen theme :) |

“Attention, prisoners! For your crimes against Oriath, you have been exiled to the forsaken continent of Wraeclast. The magisters of Oriath are merciful and have granted all exiles one weapon… choose wisely.”
Classic. And remember the Witch's speech? “They were right to fear me. If only they had listened to their cowardice. Had they not taken my home with fire, I would not have taken their children.” - 0 * - < _ > - * 0 -- 0 * - < _ > - * 0 -- 0 * - < _ > - * 0 -- 0 * - < _ > - * 0- 0 * - <
