Not understanding the Maligaro Stuff
I am not understanding this map stuff and the way it only gives me 6 chances to get through to him and the black death thing and kill them or I have to start all over again? I have done this over and over like 5 times almost killing Maligaro all 5 times just missing it by a hair then I have to start all over. Why can't we just continue with the rounds and not have to start over again and again? That is so ridiculous!!!

Just level up a bit first? In over 30 characters (yes, over 30, i have a problem), i have never failed to finish that part within the 6 portals.

You might wanna fix or upgrade your character if the char is too weak. You complain you cannot do x (Maligaro or rather kill Maligaro) with instrument y (your char) so obviously your instrument needs some tuning.
Are your defenses appropriate? Do you have at least enough HP (or Energy Shield and so on) so that he does not instantly or almost instantly kill you? Can you avoid his and his minions attacks? Quicksilver flasks (rolled) and boots with speed help a lot. Is your damage sufficient or does it take ages to hurt him? Lilly Roth (act5) and probably her gramps (act6) and others should sell almost all gems... Last edited by BlueMonday#4491 on Nov 9, 2017, 3:06:12 AM

Just so ya know, if you ever want more detailed criticism, you'd probably want to unhide your characters tab here: privacy settings

" Hey there, looking at your characters I would strongly recommend to watch some beginner videos and go from there.
Spoiler
You are lacking basic knowledge how to build a character, which is why you struggling a lot more than you should. I dont like it being this brutally honest. But I think its better to tell you upfront, so you can adapt, improve and enjoy the game a lot more :) Take your time and watch the entire playlist, it´ll help you to understand how the game generally works. Agreed with the above, and as someone who actually plays exclusively semi-improvised, self-made builds, I can say you don't necessarily have to follow actual guides or copy someone else (though you can if you like that).
But it seems that both your characters really, really need a clear direction of what you want to do with them. Versatility is good, but it seems you just have a bit of everything and none of the skills even reach 50% of their potential power and damage without any good support gems linked to them. For starters, I recommend finding 1-2 attack skills you like and work well for you, and focus on those - in act 7 you should already be able to obtain two 4-link items quite easily, so add 3 decent support gems to each, and you'll instantly see a massive increase in effectiveness. Also, the Act 7 Maligaro fight is designed in the same way as endgame maps (after finishing all 10 acts) - you also only get 6 portals for each map, so it's a good way to get used to this system. Good luck! :) |

as an example:
the Minion Damage connected to Ground Slam in your chest will NOT affect the unlinked Animate Weapon in your boots (it has no links to it). Only things linked together might possibly support eachother (not everything affects everything). And the Elemental Damage in body affects basically nothing aswell. So all your groundslam is doing is knockback and groundslam, no bonus damage. same things can be said for all your skills on both characters, lots of mismatching things. Try watching the above linked video and/or looking at the in-game encyclopedia. rawr. fear me.
