What's The Highest Survivability Low Budget Build?

I came back to the game a few weeks ago and I'm having trouble getting anywhere. I've lost six characters since I returned (71, 55, 51, 41, 38, 31) and I'm out of ideas for my own builds. So, can I get some help?

I've been trying to get a high survivability build for cheap too at the beginning of this league. I've tried frostbolt totem (not that cheap with 6Ltaryn's shiver and belly of the beast + pandemon amulet ) but you might want to play a totem build since you can mostly focus on dodging attacks by running (warchief of flame totem seems okay) .
Then I went on a cheap version of kinetic blast with piscator (Pathfinder) High life leech but 4k5 life (not that much) but still, I was able to run T15-16 maps without too much deaths for 2-3 exalted full stuff.
If you need pure facetank, find a build based on berseker ascend and aim for life and life Regen (can have lifeleech too) any build is okay (righteous fire , selfcast dark pact etc..) got a level 70 berseker with close to 7k life at level 70 with an investment on kaom's heart. Can facetank Uber izaro already with 85% physical damage reduction with charges and 800 life Regen (still have to work on life regen)

BTW : cheap at this moment of the league will not be REALLY cheap, you might have to get some currencies first and stick to your character, you can't really own facetank/kill anything before a certain level (level 20 gems, passive tree etc..) you need to spend time on a particular build ^^

something that involves berserker's cloaked in savagery and self cast/attack with high action per second count and semi long range. If build fits all of those, it will be able to do shaper in 1 chaos gears, albeit possibly a bit slow, if your gear is bad that is.
in fact if you gave up taking aspect of carnage and took rite of ruin, and in doing so u would lose 40% dps, u would gain massive tankiness boost which would push the tankiness to the limit.

Max block gladiator
Currently being stalked around these forums by some clowns who caught feelings over being called out at being grossly inept at their job.
Righteous Fire, lifebased version (Berserker, Chieftain and Jugger all work). You need a Rise of the phoenix (1c), the rest can be done in selffound gear.
(Plenty of guides in the guide section.)
Can get over 10K hp easily (8k with total crap gear, 12k with godly gear), 4-5 EC's, 90-91% max fireres. A littlebit of armour and block (can be boosted with a rumi's).

The easiest for leveling is Ancestral Warchief. Since most of your deaths are rather early, i'd also recommend watching the leveling guide by "Engineering Eternity" on Youtube. (All his videos are excellent btw. Highly recommended.)

Righteous fire is the opposite of a "low budget build". Yes, RotF is the only mandatory unique, and the rest can be rares, but the devil, as usual, is in the details. It's those rares that will cost you a fortune - RF jewels, essence-enchanted gloves or helm etc. And without them, you'll be lucky if you can complete the act content and do some low-level mapping. Much as I enjoy my RF Jug, I would strongly recommend against rolling an RF build at this point in the league. There was a small window in early league when you could get decent RF gear for reasonable prices, but that window is gone. Supply is currently very low, and the prices are astronomical.
Fuck master rotas. Fuck any kind of rotas, for that matter.

The devil is always in the details ^^. Imho you overestimate, what you need to start out, but oc, if you want good gear, you can sink endless currency into it, like with every other build.

But let me recommend something else then: Old-school SRS, no Baron. You can literally farm everything yourself.

Start with a +1 fire wand (craftable) 3L -> upgrade to 4L -> upgrade to 5L Staff (flora's gift cards or 1c on poe.trade), throw a shrieking essence of rage onto it (farm Oasis for essences or buy one for around 4c). Get a bonehelmet from cemetary or crypt (will drop sooner rather than later).

Can do t14 with that gear, for t15 6L is recommended.

Very budget, unfortunately not thaaaat tanky though. (But super-safe playstyle.) Still can get 6k+ life with good gear (SF gear prolly will give you around 5k to start). If you can get decent chaosres, i like the EB-MoM-ZO version. (Needs at least not-negative chaosres though, or chaos will wreck you).

Guys, you are aware that the TO is playing Hardcore, right? At least it sounds like. RotP is 1c on HCS, but 5c on HHC. Not a big difference, but I expect all the life and survivability gear on HC to be significantly more expensive.
Remove Horticrafting station storage limit.

Not overestimating at all, I started this league with an RF Juggernaut, and I've taken it all the way through the game, so my conclusions come from first-hand experience :) I'm not talking about endgame chase items like corrupted Kaom's with +1 all res or perfect jewels with life + 3 damage mods. Even basic RF gear is quite expensive atm. For instance, jewels with 7% life and just 2 damage mods will cost you at least 2-3ex atm, and you'll need 6 to 9 of those, depending on your tree. This isn't budget at all. Once again, an RF build was perfectly viable as a league starter in Harbinger if you were quick enough to grind some currency and buy some decent items while they were relatively affordable. But now is simply not a good time to roll an RF build. Suppy is too low, and prices are too high.

Heya,

I have died quite a few too times also this league, mostly to stupid deaths, however the best so far that I can recommend is the Warchief facebreaker totem build. Link is : https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1694250

Got easily up to 81, and ripped by going afk after spilling wine all over myself (I was drunk in my defense....if that is a defense??)

Some other builds I tried are :
firestorm - bit hard on HC as you have to stand still and cast
Crit Freezing Pulse Totems - probably close to ancestral warchief, never got to maps, ripped on A10 Kitava but very fun to play until then, and safe on mobs due to freeze
SRS - much like firestorm, a bit clunky as you have to stand still while casting, which can be dangerous in close boss fights

Ancestral warchief with facebreaker needs very little gear to get good dps, and I just literally walked through the game killing the bosses very easily. Also the endurance charges and heal from the ascendency's as per the guide makes it a great build.

Hit me up in game if you want some free facebreakers and some other gear from my old char that I upgraded.

Hope that helps
Cya
