Act 8, can't access Quay, Imperial Fields

Hi, for the past 3 days, everytime i try to load any of those maps, my game either crashes or returns to Login screen. I've tried unninstalling the game, using both Steam and the direct launcher version, and it still did nothing to it.

Any insights of a possible cause and solution? Many thanks

I am running on an admittedly marginal system, a dell laptop with an i3 and 8gb ram.
I disconnect 1 to 3 times an hour, typically after moving through 3 or more zones, or trying to port to the city when I haven't been there yet....that one is almost certain death, and I have learned to live with it.

That said, I'm having something that simply "adjusting" isn't helping very well
I'm playing Bestiary League (not hardcore), and i've advanced as far as act 8, and hoping to break into the temples and get me some tasty Solar Guardian Spectres. Alas the taste is merely a nostalgic glimmer, as I cannot advance INTO the Quay.

I enter the TOXIC CONDUITS, and barge through into DOEDRE'S CESSPOOL and dispatch (with little distinction) the eponymous Hag. Thereafter, I bid Silk farewell and advance from the Arena to the Quay entrance.

I have tried this sequence about 8 times...sometimes i'm fast enough to get through the Arena to find Doedre dead, and Silk having a smoko, and quickly run on to the Quay... Sometimes i have to do battle again.

Sadly, it matters not what the sequence is... I click on Quay, and wait and nothing much happens.
I watch the Task Manager and see that there was network activity (bidirectional) prior to clicking on the Quay, but it tapers off rather quickly with perceivable nanoblips, that might not even be PoE. The Network activity flatlines and after the disconnect period elapses, without much or any Server communication, I get disconnected. The CPU activity on my 4-Core processor indicates business, but it is not generally yellow, much less redlined. Hopefully that is because the App/GPU interface is effecient.

What is unusual is that brute force repetition isn't yielding a solution.

I also suggest that success after 8 to 20 trials isn't so good either.

The failure mechanism that I (being professionally experienced in system and app software to have a useful intuition) intuit is that there is some kind of a tight loop, imperfect semaphore/mutex/exclusion thus a network inhibiting stretch of execution associated with loading the Quay (or any area). If the time taken to load is too long, the shutdown/metered Network activity starves the Client/Server session and it gets disconnected.

Frankly, with so much working so well, starving the Network strikes as a disappointment. I am impudent enough to employ a DELL N5050 Laptop/8GB/i3/Win7 to run PoE, which was a complete FAIL prior to Release 3, and upgrade from 4 to 8GB.

The problem may be that servicing the network session manager is not guaranteed within a minimum period, and I can think of no rationale for this being other than an Application Issue, unless your design plays with Network Driver Queues, or Interrupt Enable/Disable.....

I suggest this problem can happen anytime, but more likely when loading a very large area, or, more spicily, loading when some memory has been lost due to a memory leak. I have disconnected while in a zone by entering into a boss fight, or approaching a shrine or other massive pack which causes many graphic delights to take place. but 90% of the time it happens in transitioning between areas/zones....

Whatever the cause, the Quay is busting my proverbials, and relief is requested.

TL;DR:
======

I often get disconnected. I usually break through with retrys, or replaying after losing progress to a disconnect.

The sequence in Act8 of Sarn->Toxic Conduits->Doedre's Cesspool->Doedre Boss Fight->Enter Quay is failing at attemps to Click to enter the Quay.

I have had this before, but got through on an early 3.x Version, but I had more trouble, though much less than now...3 attempts did the trick.

I'm on my 9th attempt to get past Doedre and into the Quay.

Priori to the Disconnect:
The CPU (Task Manager View) shows activity, not excessive amounts.
The Network session (Task Manager view) goes very-near-dead, or dead, while the cpu is busy.
POE reports as "Not Responding" in Task Manager.
After a long stretch of dead-cursor with circular animation for "wait", Disconnect happens.

Please tell me I'm screwed, or there is something to be done about it ?

I have been using DirectX11 and LOCKSTEP.
Trying now with "Auto", and Predictive
NOT N-E-V-E-R-M-I-N-D, but flavored somewhat in that direction.....

WELL I HAVE A WORKAROUND.....pay attention to basic game play ameneties....they mitigate this D/C trap.

While the attempts to playthrough Sarn->Doedre->Quay NEVER allow a click-through into Quay, THIS DOES: Start the game, goto Toxic Conduits WP, thence to Quay, click, and odds are good I get in, even with my hamster driven laptop.

The D/C while Loading issue remains, however I failed to attend to this (in hindsight) obvious intended entry path for Quay.

I was distracted (may be a bit addy or aspy, by the fact I entered From Toxic Conduits, into Doedre's Cesspool, and then Arena....BUT EXITED to where the WP is....which I did not notice was now Toxic Conduits.....I ASSUMED (not checking the screen UR Corner) that I was emerging BACK into Cesspool.

ASS-U-ME'd again!

Sorry for my contribution to this. I don't see that my issues are unimportant, but the WP path helps diminish the probability of D/C immensely.
