Fire-Ice-Lightning Ground puzzle in Labyrinth uncompletable!?

Follow the pattern shown in the entrance, first fire or whathever then the other cold/lightning then the other... ok, done it, ahm, why the door didn't open? Ok, ran all the way back, tried again, nothing.
tried any possible combination of patterns toward the ending following the pattern at the entrance... nothing.

I'm not stupid, any kid could do that, and many people have told me they are having problems with that puzzle as well.

One thing i noticed is that sometimes the pattern is impossible to continue, unless you run in a diagonal or something weird, i never had problems with this puzzle before 3.0.

Screenshots would be nice, I've never run into this issue nor had anyone tell me they have, but screenshots would pretty much prove it one way or the other.

Yeah, no problems when I've done it. You may have one error in your post. It doesn't have to end as a completed pattern. Not sure if that's what you were saying or not. When you get to the last row, just step off. And you are correct about no diagonals. No backtracking or going backwards either. A couple screenshots showing the pattern and the puzzle floor would be extremely helpful.

Are you playing on lockstep or predictive mode. If predictive, try typing /oos at the start to make sure you are where you think you are.

Understood, next time i try i will do so, i didn't take screenshots because i thought only a video would prove it.
As long as the shot includes the entire puzzle we can see if a solution is possible.

I caught myself going wrong on it earlier, maybe you made the same mistake I did, which is not realise theres now sometimes a pattern of 4, not 3, so its red, blue, yellow, blue, repeat... rather than red, yellow, blue, repeat...

I just presumed it was always 3 and came unstuck till I went back out and looked at the pattern again, the last blue one sort of got lost in the shadows slightly but it was there.
I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)
There are two important pieces of information when you are completing that puzzle:
1) Tiles get activated one by one (in the right order). Every time you step on the following tile of the pattern, you will hear a specific clicking noise (and I think there is a visual cue too). If you failed to unlock the door on the first go, you may want to check the tiles of the path one by one until you hear that clicking noise. When you do, you can continue from the current tile on.
2) Whenever you walk on a tile that isn't part of the right path, the dart traps activate. If, at any point during the puzzle you see one of those darts, then you've just walked on a wrong tile, whether it is due to a mistake, a misstep or even out of synch movement. When this happens, you may want to double-check what path you are supposed to take, and whether or not your character is correctly following that path.

Sometimes, one of the tiles doesn't activate because you didn't walk close enough to its center.

PS: Your post makes it look like it is possible that you didn't notice that you had to repeat the 3 or 4 tiles pattern the whole way through in order to open the door. I don't think that you didn't notice it, but I'd rather be 100% sure.

PPS: Sorry if there is no new information in my post. I don't want to be condescending, but sometimes something that seems obvious to "everyone" isn't that obvious and may be the reason why something isn't working properly.
You also can't just use a movement skill to get across to get to the next colored tile; I tried that with charged dash and the door wouldn't open. I didn't get shot at, but if the door doesn't open, it's kind of pointless.
