[3.0] WARBREAKER (AW, FACEBREAKER) Champion

[3.0] WARBREAKER (AW, FACEBREAKER)

Hi guys,

this is my first build. And as usual it is just a small modification
to existing builds. So it is a pretty generic build.

Starting Oriath I was on a RF Zerker and tried also a Ancestral Warchief Zerker.
Lifting came up with his UBER LAB PURE WARCHIEF TOTEMS build and I gave the
Duellist/Champion a go and modified this build to a Facebreaker version.

I feel the force is strong in you....
and so I came up with my "YoungMasterLUKE" build . ;-)

ACENDANCY

As this is a Totem build I liked the idea of the taunting totems but I went with the
"First to Strike, Last to Fall" because it looked to me as the overall the safer option imho.

(40% DMG when not on low life,200% Armor and Evasion WHEN on Lowlife,
elemental Ailments are removed and your hits permanently
intimidate Enemies that are on full life)

What you guys think about this?

The order is :

(1) Unstoppable LVL 33 The Labyrinth
(2) Fortitude LVL 55 The Cruel Labyrinth
(3) Conqueror LVL 68 The Merciless Labyrinth
(4) First to Strike, Last to Fall LVL 75 The Eternal Labyring

Using Facebreakers and Brightbeek in the Weapon slot II as Secondary set up for a fast movement speed/Shield Charge because of the high attack speed of Brightbeak.

Shields I sugest to get all three and use them as needed,
Great Old One as "standard" while Saffells is very good against mainly spell caster bosses like Aztiri. Lionseyes's Remorse is a safe options for Maps/LAB.
Main Goal is/was safe and easy farming UBERS and progress on the Atlas. It is by no means a fast clear speed build but it gets you there.

The Redblade Boots and Devoto give you very fast movement with brightbeak to mitigate traps and charge around.

In SC I started Normal Lab at LVL 25 and Ubers at 68.
And it was so easy! In fact up to this day it was the safest build I played in PoE.

Of course you need to know the mechanics when you start Lab earlier but the build can do it.

Getting Resistances is somewhat difficult so I specced some in the tree, rest on
rare rings and amu.

BANDITS : OAK
PANTHEON : Soul of the Brine King (Stun)
Soul of Grutkuhl (max 5% Phys reduction)

Levelling Tree LVL 77 (Red Storm is next to cause bleed)

Start at the Duellist take all the nodes there, pass on to Ancestral Bond
and fill out the Life and Damge Nodes as you progress and how it suits your playstyle best.

If you are interested you may check the stuff on my profile.
I am really Interested in feedback from you guys, so let me know what you guys think!

Hi some few questions,

How does this compare to liftings build and what are the pro's and cons?

What do you think is better between Champion/Zerker Warchief for labs, is the Zerker damage over survival a welcome edition or is it just overkill?

Thanks and good luck with your build!

Hi Junsa!

Well Lifting brought me on the idea to have use Champion Ascendany, with permanent Fortify and the
damage buffs resulting. Plus, I don't like to shield charge around to keep the buff active.
(guess I am a real lazy player)

First I was going with the AW Zerker because of the warcry and 40% damg increase and it was really good,
Lots of Life Reg and Warcry as 6th Potion.
The Zerker is only at level 80 and it didnt feel as robust as the Champion does for me.
Just specced into Red Storm to see how Bleeding scales.

PRO's - Champion
---------------------------------------------
Damage while on full life +40%
---------------------------------------------
the small Ascendancy nodes give a total of
---------------------------------------------
45% increased Armor and Evasion
20% Taunt Duration
5% Attack Speed
14% Increased DMG while Fortify
---------------------------------------------
Good Damage scaling with Facebrerakers
---------------------------------------------
Super easy to play
---------------------------------------------
versatile - different shield
to optimze depending on the boss
---------------------------------------------
good levelling - fast and easy.

CON's

it's a totem but it is active playing!

The changes to Liftings build are quite substantial and that is why I openend my first Post in PoE ever ;-)
In my understanding "First to strike, still gives you the taunt but also 40% DMG
whick we are 99 % on top we get a damage reduction when we need it, I will keep you updated how this scales and how far I can get.

Def and versatility with shield is very flexible. Aztire with a Safells is a walk in the park.

So, the differences are mainly :
- Facebreakers and Shield instead of Kondo's 2H (no shield)
- CWDT set up (no Gruthkul)
- Ambus gives us 2% Life reg on Hit really nice in the labt/traps!
Belly might be an option too.
- Redblades Damage boos, Movement and Resistances.

"

For UBER LAB the champion feels just perfect. Fast, Totems Taunt....
Because of this Taunt you can focus on doging around
when doing full key runs.

Hope this has answered some of your questions.

Having set this, the "big guys in this game like Mathil, Ziggy, Lifting have
excellent builds but i really love PoE for the diversity!!!

^_^
Thanks for the detailed response!
