Best place to farm tier 5 essence?

So far I have been trying to speed run tier 1-5 maps, but after running 45 maps I still have not found a single trapped essence.

I'm trying to craft my own delirium because atm I can't afford to flat out buy one, so I am searching for a few essence of misery trapped to corrupt them

should I be upgraded them from white to magic or rare?

I don't have an answer to your question, but it's a wise decision to alchemy your maps.

yes it would, transmute is enough for these maps..

farming for something that specific and rare is not possible in RNG environment. just play the game and they eventually show up.

As far as I can tell, you don't farm items in this game

You farm currency then buy other people's items.

It's an exercise in frustration to get items for yourself, the game is just not designed for it at all, and will actively patch out ways people find to get good stuff.

generally the way to get that challange is simply carry some corruptions on you and map like normal.

if you need to reroll , do that too if it helps your sanity. hope for the best.

They may have changed it so that the high tier essences only appear in yellow/red maps?

At least I dont remember finding any before yellow maps.

Essence tiers definitely seem tied to map tier. I have only found higher ones in T13-16 maps. Any white/yellow maps I've only found bleh ones of tier 1-4.

As far as white maps being a waste for an alch I don't understand that. I always get at least 1C in profit from an alch'd map and never get close to that in a transmuted only map. Seems like a pretty good gain to me.
