D3? More like I am too busy playing the Knights of the Frozen Throne content, which is the new expansion of Hearthstone. Ever since they announced that Necro was going to be a paid DLC, I was like I am done following D3, so HS FTW. lol

I'm not crazy like I_NO, nor do I have unlimited amounts of play time, but I can do 5 chapters in a few hours. NOW. After nerf? Hell, I will get my cat to do it. I just started D3 a few months ago (got a coupon) so I'm officially still a n00b there, just to give some background. I have only played 2 characters, and one partial season before this one. I don't know what I'm doing still, in some ways, and so wtf? Censored.

It's surprisingly one of the most "balanced" ptr patch notes. It brings in line many of the underwhelming sets/classes. Of course it comes with huge power creep because no one wants to be nerfed so they have to buff everyone up every time. But the gap between specs will be reduced (top specs are untouched by notes). And contrary to PoE, infinite difficulty scaling means power creep has less of an impact in the long run (until they do a number squish like they did for WoW).
As for Chapters, the first 4 literally take 3 hours and this is before you get your set. This won't change in any way. Assuming they don't change anything numbers wise in Chapters (ie. gr85 instead of 75), it will go from being done in 20 hours to 18 hours. Not a huge change overall. I've had the full season Guardian completed before Sunday night (on a Friday launch). Chapters are like introduction to end game. They are not anywhere close to the challenges in PoE in terms of time requirements. |

The post RoS dev team embraced power creep to such an extent I am concerned a player will eventually crit with such a big damage number it will roll the universe over and the big bang will happen again.
