Since it's possible to stay outside of melee range effectively with a freezing pulse build, the two things that can kill you are ranged attacks and ranged spells.
Of those two, ranged attacks can be mostly nullified with armor. Ranged spells that deal elemental damage (esp. boss spells, like map Piety's lightning ball) can only be mitigated by your resists. Going from 85 (75+elementaladaptation+purity/innerforce) all resist to 90 all resist is going from taking 15 damage to 10 damage -- a 33% less damage effect. Alongside the elemental resist flasks and a Saffell's, you can become immune to elemental spells. Very, very strong. EDIT: The fact that you get spell damage and spell blocking on top of that makes it even better. EDIT2: " Completely irrelevant to the question. Just s/Kripp/people/ and answer.
