The Ascetic amulet "items found with a normal item equipped"

so, the description of the Ascetic amulet reads:

(12-20)% increased Rarity of Items found
(80-100)% increased Rarity of Items found with a Normal Item equipped
(10-15)% increased Quantity of Items found with a Magic Item equipped

when it says "Rarity of Items found with a Normal Item equipped" does that mean when you have a non-magic weapon equipped? does it mean it only affects enemies killed by normal weapons? does it mean it only if you don't have any magic items equipped in any slots besides the amulet? what would be the best way to use this amulet to get the rarest drops? (please don't turn this into a "speed-clearing > iir" debate. I'm just curious what the description means and how to use it)

One normal magic (blue) item equipped gives (10-15)% increased Quantity of Items found

As far as I know it doesn´t have to be a weapon.

Rakiii is correct. You need to wear 1 normal item (if you're a spellcaster then it makes sense for this to be a 1h weapon) and 1 magic item (idk what the best option would be here, probably gloves) to get the full value out of The Ascetic. To be as clear as possible: itwon't stack further if you wear more normal/magic items.

would it work to have a standard wep in the secondary loadout? i usually only have one weapon i use. like, i have a bow as main and dual weild 2 one-handed weps for secondary loadout, but i literally never switch to it and haven't updated it in a long time since my main bow works extremely well. would it still give me the bonus even if its in a loadout i am currently not using?
