[Race] Good strategy to kill normal Brutus

I'm having trouble with normal Brutus, he is taking ages to kill. Best strategy so far has been Fire trap while kiting and getting fireballs of trying to dodge the hook.
I do not usually die (happend once in maybe 10 tries) but the fight takes like 4-5min. With my current build I get to him at lvl 9 with Fire trap Fireball Ice Nova Freeze Pulse Passives http://tinyurl.com/ap6pb95 Merville is also a problem later. Does anyone have any good advice? |

Keep Brutus at distance so he will start trying to grab you with his hook. Keep this distance, don't get closer, try not to get further away. When he throws the hook you should be moving sidewards. It's very easy and foreseeable.
It's like: Fireball, step right, Fireball, step left, Fireball, rinse and repeat. Easiest fight on earth. Merveil is the usual. Keep a portal ready, get cold resists, close in on her, but not into full melee range. Hit her like you mean it and sap your pots. Chicken out into town if she hurts you too bad or you ran out of pots. |

Yeah he's a little touchy with the distance. Go a little too far away or close and he'll start other shit. Keep the distance right and he'll never do anything else.
Sometimes the terrain can work against you, those walls can make him go crazy if the los breaks and stuff. But if you keep in the open and learn the distance to keep, you really should be fine. I haven't been hit by Brutus since CB, really ^^ |
