Repeating the same maps

Am I the only one doing this? I'm a level 78 Shadow and I just cleared the Cemetery map, tier 8, and got it checked off the atlas. But I had to die a bunch of times doing it. I still have a lot of tier 4 and 5 maps to check except I don't have the maps. It seems the only way to get them is by repeating the maps I've done until I find the ones I need.

I'm not sure if I have the patience to keep playing the same maps over and over. Is this what you guys do or is there another way to getting the maps I need?

You can try to buy them from Zana. I think she sells maps until lvl 9 or so. Doing her daily quest will refresh her inventory.

You'll run the same maps. "Over and over" is up to you. There's plenty to change things up at your leisure, or you can focus on running one.

But this isn't "what we do". People play differently. Some do. Some don't. Some play HC, some play SC. Some re-roll. Some wait for a new league. There's dozens of radically different playstyles. Pick one you enjoy.

Level 78 is pretty low for your "soft cap". Most play until 85-90, occasionally higher. You should probably be focusing more on tier 5-6 that trying to pound out tier 8 maps at this point.

If you're looking for something to change things up, try running some prophecies. Work on building up your masters.

Hmmm, I think I'll mess with Zana in the hideout. Maybe something will happen.

Shags is completely right. For example, i was playing PoE for 3 years and before the Legacy League i just focused on mechanics, tried to learn how this game works and stuck in t5-10. Didn't run any guide build, always tried to find my personal ideas by the time. This is the thing, the "creativity", making the PoE very very very special for me. After years and lots of characters, i just completed 1 character that can beat every content in the game.

Some people loves routine like our daily cycle. Routine but safe. Mapping in PoE is the breakfast, job, coffee, sex, brunch, dinner; cycle of the game.
