Elemental focus support gem

will this work if chained to added cold/herald of ice/hatred? will it make these skills do more elemental damage? I'm still unclear how things like this interact with aura/flat damage modifiers

If you meant boosting added damage from heralds, you need to link elemental focus to the skill you're dealing damage with, not heralds themselves.

If you mean the damage that herald itself deals, like those thunderbolts from herald of thunder, sure. They deal secondary damage so spell or attack specific bonuses won't work but you can use elemental focus or add damage to them with added lightning/cold/chaos. Bonuses that add damage to spells or attacks won't work, like anger or wrath auras
