Witch Wand Choice

Heyho,

I'm new at PoE since a few days and i'm currently at a lvl 36 Witch,
and i'm starting to wonder which Wand Attributes would be the best to look for.
So what's really important when chosing new wands?
Also i'd like to know how i get to certain Sup Gems like "Multiple Projectiles" or "Spell Totem"?

the answer depends entirely on what type of build ur going for

If you are using Power Siphon :
1. If you are planning to go elemental then you will need a wand with 2-3x add elemental damage prefixes.
2. If physical , then you gonna need a wand with %increase physical damage and add physical damage prefixes.

If you are using spells:
You gonna need +% spell damage and +% cast speed or + level gem to what elemental you are using.

Spell Totem and Lesser Multiple Projectiles are fairly cheap. If you cant afford, you can get them from quest rewards. However, greater Multiple Projectiles is not cheap for beginners and it is drop-only.

And Just to add... for spells (without power siphon which is a wand attack) you might be much better off using a dagger that increases global crit chance which also applies to spells. My noob Witch currently has:

quick question on power siphon

1. does increase critical chance for spells mod apply to your siphon? is this considered a spell?

2. what would boost its damage? attack speed or cast speed affects it?

1. No. It is an attack.
2. Attack Speed, weapon ele, increase ele, global crits, increase phy etc. Cast speed wont affect it.

I'm trying to build an Frost/Crit Witch.

So, spell dmg and crit? Maybe better a dagger?

got it, thanks man, basically its just a wands normal attack that siphons, I crafted a wand that has mods of 10-95 lightning dmg and 99% critial chance for spell

simple tip, attacks are skills that calculates damage based on the weapon's damage. spells will have their own base damage and does not rely on the weapon's damage.

or you can just look at the gem, under the name it'll have a few tags, the tag attack or spell will be there.
