mines and elemental penetration with weapons

If i use barrage mines with lets say doom fletch prism , does the "damage with weapons penetrate elemental resistance" from primeval force and forces of nature work with the barraged mine?
Confusing because yes u use the dmg of the weapon, but its the mine doing the damage.
