Would "onslaught when hit" works with ancestral bond?
|
Hi, I play a totem build with ancestral bond but I'm still unsure of how it all works.
Anyway, I found an essence of insanity and I was thinking to use it on my plate for "onslaught when hit" but, 1st: Will it trigger when I'm hit, or when the totems are hit? (or when the totems hit something?) (2nd: Will the totems get the buff or only me?)-> for what I read the totems will also get the buff 3rd: for what I understand, I will gain around 10% increase damage, is it worse it? You are wearing the Armour, not your Totems. As such, only the character being hit will trigger Onslaught, for the character. Due to how Totems work, that is ideal: the Totems only benefit from your Onslaught, not their own*.
Whether it's worth it.. Taking a hit every three seconds is not entirely ideal against fat bosses, and during clearing it's unlikely to happen tbh. But, it's also essentially free Damage if you do manage to craft a good body armour with the Essence! Kinda depends if you're giving anything up for it. A Belly of the Beast would give more Life, a Lightning Coil better Physical mitigation, honestly not sure if I'd give something like that up for the occasional bit of Onslaught. * = technically the Totems do gain Movespeed from Onslaught, which is relevant for Lightning Warp |

Thank you. You raise a good point.
If it trigger for 3 seconds only when I'm hit, then I will pass. I actually cast spell totem with bladefall, so it gains in cast speed from onslaught, I used a silver flask to see how much increase I would gain (+10%). So not so much considering that I would need to sustain much more damage Last edited by YouMustBeKidding#6877 on Jun 1, 2017, 8:06:34 PM
