Steam overlay
I can´t open in-game Steam overlay. I have it enabled in the options and tried restarting after turning it off and after turning it on again with no results. I have no idea what is the problem and how to solve it.
This prevents me from in-game purchases (wanted to expand my stash) so it´s annoying. Last bumped on Dec 13, 2024, 2:37:28 AM

I have the exact same problem, can't purchase anything because the game tells me i have to Enable Steam Overlay but it's already enabled on Steam and on the option tab of the game.
What to do now?! |

Hey guys I also had the same issue.
I did everything from enabling steam overlay to uninstalling and redownloading PoE. I finally found a fix for me. MSI afterburner was causing the issue as soon as I closed my MSI Afterburner I was able to use my steam wallet to make in game purchases and access my steam overlay. Hope this helps. |

Chiming in to confirm it was in part MSI Afterburner. But more specifically it was the OSD/On Screen Display portion and perhaps the Rivatuner statistics that comes with the program. However it hooks into dx11 games to display the stats it seems to prevent the Steam overlay from starting up. When using the dx9/9a client I could get the Steam overlay as per usual.
I used to have this issue on Warframe and gave it a test after removing the OSD portion since I never really used it. Got the Steam overlay working like normal back on there now too! |

I'm having the same problem and I don't believe that I'm running MSI Afterburner

This was happening to me too, although the settings in Steam were set global, they weren't set for POE.
To correct, go into Steam -> Library then right-click on POE, and choose Properties -> General and make sure it is checked here. |
