chitus plum stuck in inventory <edit:solved>

I could not drop chitus plum in town, but i can drop it in any map, which i did.

chitus plum stuck in inventory after completing marined marooner @ merciless -
i checked that i completed marined marooner in all 3 difficulties already.

pls help!

on a hunch, i restarted the game, and the plum still there 'this item whispers of destiny'...

You're looking at the wrong quest. Marooned Mariner is the quest in act 1.

to elaborate, see screenshot below: i have done the quest 3 times, for each difficulty;
hence i should not be holding on the the quest item.

hope somebody got a suggestion/ fix! thanks.

No, you are wrong. You ARE looking at the wrong quest. The quest with Chitus' plum is in act 3, where you meet fairgraves' ghost again, in the Docks. You give him the bottle and the plum in the docks. In act 3. Where the quest is. Not act 1.

Its okay, you can keep arguing about it though.
