point blank and rain of arrows

how does point blank keystone work with rain of arrows? is there any difference at all how close to a monster i am when using that skill?

It works with rain of arrows, yes, since it benefits from projectile damage boni.

It is based on the distance between source and target though, not player and target. At some point chin sol RoA traps were pretty popular.

alright i thought it was the distance the projectile travelled. seemed to always be the same for roa as it always fires up in the air and comes down on enemies.

actually it is somewhat an exception. roa and blast rain are not typical projectiles that travel, so it was coded like that specifically for that purpose. Other projectile skills with AoE component (like shrapnel or ice shot) use the same point blank value for all the area
