IIQ gem + Obliteration explosion

Hello, am rather wondering if my IIQ gem purchase went to waste or not..



From what I've tested anything that dies from poison/retch poison gets the quantity bonus from gem that is linked with my BV, but the question now is - does the IIQ gem applies to obliteration explosions? If not, is there a way to apply to them (adding an IIQ gem into each wand LOL)?

Obliteration's explosions are a property of the wand, not a property of the skill that generates the initial kill and is supported by IIQ. So far as I know, there's no way to support on-kill explosion effects like Obliteration, the Gladiator's Bloody Mess explosions, the Occultist's chaos boom, or anything else that happens as a result of an item or Ascendancy property rather than as the direct result of a skill.
