A few free Micro coins for poor players monthly.

This thread is just a suggestion.

Maybe host a few race, or in game chances to get a few micro transaction coins for free. For loyal but kind of poor players. Nothing that would hurt GGG just a chance for say 30 coins per month.

Would be a nice incentive for players to stay active, not that GGG needs it, but its always nice for player to get a chance for at least one chest roll when they are broke that month :)

I doubt 30 coins per month would anyone keep playing.

Not everyone plays leagues though.

I don't see why PoE couldn't have races or events with GGGold rewards.

So, racers don't appreciate asthetics, but let's give them free GGGold so that they can buy nice looking stuff?

Any way just how poor are you? i'm unemployed and i can still manage to put something to the game despite having to pay for food, council tax and utilities

I honestly say yes, and no at the same time.

No, I do not want GGG to give free coins out monthly cause that would just simply be a problem. GGG is a company designed around making profit and they make their profit by selling stuff, primarily stash tabs. A lot of people who invest time into the game end up purchasing these stash tabs, or give up playing altogether.

However... at the same time.

Yes... I do want GGG to fix the problem of players who have never donated having issues with trading. Perhaps offer a premium stash tab as a league MTX, or maybe even better yet, unlock the stash tab as you unlock achievements ingame. For example, beat Merciless Malachi, and you get a free premium stash tab.

Everyone so far has some good points. I agree most people will have a little money every month to put down for a few chest rolls, and other sundry as well. I always purchase random bits every month with not too much issue.

That being said.

This is a suggestion that will give a small perk to the players without breaking GGG's money making system. As someone pointed out a lot of games do this to show appreciation to players, and gives players an extra chest roll at the end of the month, or if they store it up an item they choose after some time.

Not saying someone poor should rely on the small bit of free coin and couldn't afford to pay.

Personally I like when a game does this, it shows some consideration for people who still buy, but can not afford to buy a lot, as well as appreciation for loyal players.

Also the marketing behind it is solid, If a person is short 20-30 coins for a particular Mtx after having gotten the free coins....and doesn't want to wait another month or two, they will be more inclined to log on and make a payment to get the bit extra they needed.

I do not see how this will break GGG. It could be put in as perhaps a 30 day log in bonus, 1 coin per day.

The game is completely free, and all you can pay for is stash space and cosmetics. GGG already has a better system here than all other free to play games. They don't need to be handing out free points to people as well.
