What's the point of level up vaal discipline ?

Don't get me wrong I love the nerf but at least give it something else to scale with level? How about duration cause it's supposed to be the only "flask" for ES build to recharge why not make it last longer since the opi op ES is gone?

I assume this was a last second change to bring at least some CI changes with 2.6, those are usually not really well thought through.
Vaal disc is used not only by CI builds.
Yeah, the fact that levels don't give anything besides pithy AoE now means there's no point in leveling the gem.

Though I have a rather bad feeling if it was to get duration added onto the levels then the base duration would get nerfed to be 2 seconds or even less.
Just simple + to ES with lvl would do the trick. It doesnt have to be large bonus, just worth the effort.
Duration would be great, or reduced Vaal souls needed to cast.
Maybe +1 to available charges per 10 levels?

Well they removed that and the removal was good.

There are a bunch of options.

1. Recovery Speed
2. Duration
3. Something with souls (Chance to gain additional souls, less consumption etc.)
4. Energy Shield on Kill (although right now it is mostly important for builds that cannot leech, most of those cannot kill either)

WTF?
Casually casual.

I'm assuming he means benefit from "on kill" effects. Not actually an inability to kill anything.
