Like buy them with cheaper orbs (based on player made up currency levels?)

You should buy 6 socket items from vendors and items that have Green, Blue and Red sockets linked, for 7 jeweler orbs and a chromatic orb respectively.

You shouldn't buy orbs from venders at all, it's one of the most expensive ways to get orbs. many can be manufactured with vender recipes from 'junk' you find in-world.

You can get super cheap chromatics from vendors by buying 1 wisdom 3l rgb items, lol.
