Character Migration for SSF

So, I've been a casual Standard league player up until Breach and now Legacy. I decided to turn on SSF since I was used to going it on my own, and since there was the option to migrate, I didn't feel locked into it. Fast forward to Merciless ACT 2 when I decided to migrate in order to start new characters using all the great things I found and to enable trade. While there was a prompt about the migration being "irreversible" there was no prompt about losing everything I had in the stash (currencies, essences, talismans, gear, etc.) once migrated. I know there's no way to get back what I lost, but as a player new to League play, I was crushed and very frustrated that there was no warning about something I felt was important.

I guess there's no way to help me, but maybe for new players, some sort of prompt would be of valuable.

You lost nothing, there are 2 options when you migrate one to migrate the character and one to migrate all (which includes your stash)
If you want what was in your stash you'll need to make a new character in SSF and then migrate all with it.

(A character only migration works like a HC death, only the character it's inventory and what it's wearing are transferred to the non SSF version of that league, where as the migrate all is like an end of league full migration)

Well, this is the part where I feel like a noob. Thanks for the help, it's greatly appreciated.

I just had a scary moment myself when I migrated a character without my stash by accident. I say "by accident" now because I figured out what to do with the help of global chat... but before this I really thought I'd lost everything in my stash.

IMO, the migration process needs a little work to make it clearer for the player to know exactly what's being migrated and what's not.

The instructions are very unclear on the migration.

I have more than one SSF character and when i migrated one of them i lost everything i wanted to keep because to me it looked like there was 2 options "migrate this character" and "migrate all SSF characters".

There was no warnings, no explanations or anything.

The button doesn't actually say "migrate all SSF characters", does it?
