Lightning Strike and Arcing Blows

Has anyone tried out Lightning Strike with the new Arcing Blows (+45% Lightning Damage with Weapons)?

Since Lightning Strike converts a large percentage of weapon damage to Lightning, it seems like it might work well with "+Lightning Damage with Weapons" passives.

Does anyone know if "+Lightning Damage with Weapons" passives would also affect the damage of the projectile(s) launched by Lightning Strike?

Yes, the projectiles are dealing weapon damage as well, and will be affected.
One thing I'm unclear on is how "on hit" works. Does "on hit" apply to spells as in static blows?
It's a skill rather than spell, so yes, on hit works.

Does increased chance to crit for spells or increased chance to crit for skills increase the critical strike chance of the lightnings launched?

Its way better to just get physical damage passives... because the elemental damage passives only effect 50% of the spell where physical damage deals with the whole spell.
45 = 22.5% of your overall. so it might be out of the way from what you want.

I agree, especially considering that even normal strength gives you a melee physical bonus.
110 strength, 11 normal points on the marauders side of the skill tree gives you 22% damage.

I can see it working for the dex/int class using lightning strike with claws or something.

Does it work together with Wrath, the lightning damage aura? A witch summoner might take it if it increases the lightning damage of her zombies.

To be fair, weapon elemental damage passives tend to be very high. Physical damage passives tend to be in the 4-8% range (typically 6) and weapon elemental passives are much higher: the one-point ones are each around the 50% area and the weapon elemental area near the templar starting point is about 100% for four points.

Generally, when there is a weapon elemental passive and you can get it easily, it's almost always worth grabbing if you are dealing with that element because the boost is rather large.

Of course, if something is far out of the way, that's another story.
