Item Requires Level . . .

I found an old pair of Wanderlust boots. Requires level 3, as from the wiki.

So I four-linked and "qualitied" them up, and put an enchant on them,
only to find that they now require level 52, and are thus useless.

Is there a way to make them useful again?

Is there a list somewhere that shows how level requirements are affected?

The more I play this game, and try to help myself out,
the more convoluted, and perverse it gets.

Enchants have level requirements. They can be replaced but not removed, assuming you are talking about the lab ones.
Labyrinth Enchantments have a minimum level requirement. Like Pathological said, they can be replaced, but not removed.

However, you CAN get rid of the enchantment, should you corrupt the item and it lands an implicit, but even Corruptions have a minimum level requirement. There are a handful that have no level requirements, but the rest do have one.
This was an issue with the Seven League Step boots.

People got the bright idea that adding a movement speed enchant would create the ultimate leveling boots. However, they failed to realize that by adding the enchant the boots now became unusable for low level characters.

As Sentilial said, aside from corrupting to MAYBE overwrite the enchant, I don't think there is a way to cleanly remove the enchant.

That being said, Wanderlust boots should be very inexpensive, so you should be able to just buy a new pair from another player for next to nothing.

(Assuming this is standard since you said it was an "old pair", I would be willing to just give you a new one if you catch me online).

All you would really lose out on is the jewelers and fusings to 4 link.
