What build is similar to the Diablo 2 lightning trap-sin?

In Diablo 2 Assassin could lay down 4 to 5 traps that shoot out lightning projectiles I'm looking for a build similiar to this (not ones that just produce AoE dmg) any ideas?

uhm ... lightning trap maybe?

spark totem ?

Probably a totem build?

trap/totem + lightning orb + gmp

Arc on a cluster trap would likely be closest, for me, as a big Trapsin player from D2.

Nothing will quite feel as good as a fully decked out Trapsin though, those bitches were mean.

Ah yes, this sounds like the most accurate! ty, going to have fun now finding a way to create an uber D2 trapsin in PoE :)

Good luck, sounds fun, and should certainly be doable, and even endgame viable. Trap builds can get crazy dmg in POE just like in D2, you just have to worry about building strong defenses, which are trappers' main major weakness in POE, as they don't get life leech off traps. There's a lot of good trapper builds out there if you need ideas and reference material, I highly suggest checking out Pohx, he's done more with trappers than most streamers I've seen.

Id say the closest would be Scorching ray totem in term of single beam of damage shot by a friendly unit
