Points Prices for 2nd world countries

Hi ,I come From Malaysia and I've been playing this game since open Beta.I have been playing path of exile religiously on and off. I really want to support the game and Get the benefits of supporting by paying but the problem is that it is not really affordable for 2nd world countries or for instance Malaysia for example since the currency rate right now for Malaysian Ringgit to Us Dollars is 4.44:1 , Therefore having to buy 50 points would cost 22.20 myr Which would only get me 50 coins , not to mention wanting to have a supporter pack which would cost 60usd = 266.43 myr. So i would just like to suggest if it is possible to Have options or possibly support the game and buy points through Different currency rather than USD , instead open up to 2nd world countries ?

I hope this made sense

You need to study a bit more if you think Malaysia is or has ever been a "Second World" country.

The original division was between:

* First World: developed capitalist states, like the USA and most of Western Europe

* Second World: industrial socialist states, like the URRS

* Third World: underdeveloped countries

This division lost most of its meaning with the end of the Cold War, so people today prefer "developed countries" opposed to "underdeveloped countries" or "developing countries". Malaysia would have fallen within the "Third World" classification back then.

So nope, no Second World there.

Yeah that makes sense , sorry for the lack of research but i guess what i mean by 2nd world country i meant a developing country
i doubt that giving other areas better deals would work, you could for instance do a work around to get he stuff cheaper no matter where you were in the world which put a massive dent in GGG's turnover, sure it sucks but lets be honest...you don't "need" anything to play the game 100% all the way through.

This is usually why areas in RU and Asia have separate servers and publishers and why these areas are usually region blocked on steam.

I live in a 3rd world country. Dominican Republic. I have co-workers who live alone and support themselves on $4.00 an hour. It is very cheap to live in these countries. $60.00 is going out 4 times and drinking/eating. You should be able to save that up. There is no way they could selectively choose to sell the product cheaper to certain countries without pissing people off.

You make a lot less than someone living in the United States but you also pay $200-$300 in rent compared to $1,500-$2,000. Food and everything else is cheaper too.
Actually Dominican Republic is not part of the 3rd world, which nowadays consist of the countries with the lowest income per capita (I think below 745$ a year). Although there are many definitions nowadays, this seems to be the most relevant for this discussion.

Malaysia is almost rich compared to those countries though and it's human development index is about the same as russias (although russie is still a bit richer but that is mostly inflated by a few very very rich people).

However all those countries are a lot less wealthy than the western countries however it is not really something companies like GGG can address. Because if you change prices for one country, you have to do it for others, and by what margin? Considering that those owning a PC and stable internet in those poor countries are likely upper class citizens it would be odd to use the average to decide prices.

Because something people might forget, a poor american might actually have less money avaible to spend on PoE than a rich malaysian.
