Question on selling items at the vendors
So i've been wondering (as i'm pretty new), is it better to identify your items before selling them to a vendor, or just keep them unidentified?
Given that i'm not sure on the value of currency, I can't tell which type is better to get from the two differences. Also, someone mentioned a while ago that if you combine certain items to sell at the vendor at once, you can get better currency back that way too? Something like full matching sets of armor, or something...I can't recall. Any feedback or need to know information that will help me on my adventure would be awesome! Usually you identify rares if you want to sell them to get alterations; selling them unidentified gives you transmutes iirc. That also gives you the chance to see if they are decently rolled.
The recipe you might be thinking of is the chaos recipe; basically, vendor one full set of rare items at the same time (enough to fill every slot, and 1 2h weapon or 2 1h or 1h and shield, etc). That nets you different items based on the lowest item level of the items you're vendoring. 1-59 is chance orbs, 60-75 is chaos orbs, and 75+ is regal orbs. Chaos > regal > chance, so aim for the middle one if you're doing that recipe for profit. Additionally, if you vendor an entire set of unidentified armor (including jewelery) you get 2 orbs instead of one. |

" ID everything. UnIDed items give transmutation shards (orbs of transmutation are completely worthless), whereas IDed items give alteration and alchemy shards (which are much more valuable). Also, the item might actually be good. " Check out this page, particularly the "full rare sets" recipe in your case. The chaos recipe is pretty popular as a way to accumulate currency. Totally depends on you. If there is 0% chance that a rare will be useful to you, don't ID it. If there is a chance, do.
