inc. armour and evasion vs inc. evasion rating

I'm wondering if there's a difference between increased armour and evasion vs. increased evasion rating.

According to the wiki, evasion and evasion rating is the same, but after testing some boots with 94% inc. armour and evasion vs. boots with 22% evasion rating, the difference in evasion wasn't nearly as large as I would expect.

The problem you're having is local vs. global. When some affix appears on an item that has that stat, it's local. Like evasion on your boots. If you have +25% increased evasion on a boot with evasion, it applies only to the boots. The same modifier on an amulet would give its bonus to all sources of evasion. Global vs. Local. Try to understand that. It's confusing at first.

these modifiers are local to the boots or other armor pieces that have base evasion. when it comes to scaling evasion, there is no difference between increased evasion and increased evasion & armour mods, no matter if local or global..
