Mortem Morsu

A quick note, I saw the contents of this thread:

https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1696608

It states that Mortem Morsu doesn't work on Blade Vortex because it is a hit that is not based on an attack.

Now, I tested it to see just how the poison did work, as it only says, "Poisonous Hit". While the given theory is generally a valid thought, Blade Vortex *did* poison on hit, but at a very low chance (of course attacking with the claw appears to be 100% chance). In order to verify further about these effects, I tried dual wielding the claw with a scepter, and then casting Infernal hit (no claw damage). The same effect happened; usually no poison, but an occasional enemy would show the effects.

It is possible that Mortem Morsu poison is intended to be used only on that claw's damage. However, at this time, it is occasionally spilling over into other effects, both attacks and spells, which makes me wonder what the exact intentions of the effect are, whether they may intend for the poison values to be there, just accidentally left them at abysmally low values.

Edit: I will note, I am a Guardian with no poison effects in my build whatsoever, level 54. For some reason, the vast majority of my poisons go off on first hit. I run around for around 5 seconds and attack again, and the chance for poison on that hit seems to go up dramatically. Just guessing, First hits seem to have about a 25% chance to poison, but following hits drop significantly to an estimated 5% ish.

I'm guessing you have a glove enchant or a trigger (Vengeance, Reckoning) that is hitting enemies.
Make your characters public, and I bet we will find something other than BV applying the poison.
U MAD?
Vipermagi was right. It was Word of Force.
