How long do the portals stay open on the map device? I've seen them up for over an hour without disappearing, but now I wanted them to stay open so my friend could join to complete the unique strongbox challenge and they closed when I went to do some prophecy in Act I...

" They remain open forever as long as the instance (usually your hideout) is populated by at least one person. The hideout instance lasts 5-7 minutes. I've been away for over 8 hours and still had active portals when I came back. IGN: Arlianth
