Spell Not Hitting Animated Weapons

My friend and I were doing Death and Taxes (I'm an Assassin using Barrage and Lightning Arrow, and he is an Inquisitor using Arctic Breath) and we had a major problem.
The animated weapons that spawn throughout the room for some reason did not get hit by his spells at all, no matter the phase of the fight, and no matter where they spawned from. I as a bow character had no problems hitting them. If the projectiles from Arctic Breath count as "ground projectiles" vs arrows that do not, making them miss the animated weapons in the map, then why is it possible to damage other animated weapons in other maps with Arctic Breath? For example, the Arsenal map boss that is an animated weapon itself, and it spawns animated weapons that can be hit and damaged by the spell, so what makes the weapons in Death and Taxes different? " It's not the weapons in Death and Taxes that are different - it's the weapons in Arsenal that are different. In order to not make the map impossible for Spark/Arctic Breath (both of which fire ground projectiles), the Arsenal weapons are unique and do not count as hovering. |

Okay so you pointed out that one map has animated weapons that can be hit by spells, and another map doesn't, which is what I already fucking said before. How are you okay with that?

" Yes. Because you have to kill the animated weapons in Arsenal to complete the map. In D&T you do NOT have to kill any animated weapons to get the completion. U MAD?

" If you don't kill any of the animated weapons, it makes the map extremely annoying and pointlessly difficult. Builds that don't have an absurd amount of leech or builds that don't have Vaal Pact are completely screwed by this. The weapons spawn pretty regularly and can build up pretty fast. If you can't kill them or leech from them, you have to play at burning the boss and moving around like a crazy person just to avoid getting swarmed. This is garbage and I can't believe anyone would defend this. Just make the weapons targets that can be damaged in both, or in neither, not this mash of arbitrary bullshit. |
