Which orbs improve stats on unique item?
Hi, I am wondering which orbs to use to improve stats on a unique item?

Divine Orbs randomly reroll the explicit stats on any item, Unique items included, within their affix tier ranges. If the rolls are not all perfect, this can improve the item. If the rolls are not all the worst, this can also make the item worse.
Divine Orbs are very rare drops and quite expensive in player trade. Blessed Orbs randomly reroll the implicit stat on any item, Unique items included. This only works for implicits with ranges. Implicit mods are the ones associated with a base type; Rustic Sashes, for example, roll 12% to 24% increased physical damage regardless of magical Rarity. Blessed Orbs are rare drops, but quite cheap in player trade. Need game info? Check out the Wiki at: https://www.poewiki.net/

Thanks for the reply. Guess it's better to buy another one of the uniques then.

It depends entirely on what the item is. If you're talking about Shavs, Disfavour, etc. then no, you should Divine instead of buying a new one. If you're talking about 1c items, then yes, buy another instead of Divining.

Can I ask where I can read up about affixs and implicits? I am very confused by the terminology.

Short version, as was mentioned, implicits are related to the item's base (for example, Fingerless Silk Gloves have a Spell Damage implicit. Or Two-Stone Rings have 2 resists as implicits. Even it its a white item, it'll have it) Explicits (Affixes) are shown below implicits, and are the general stats of the item :) |

Oh ok, so generally the implicits are above the line, and affixes are below the line?
Is this different from Diablo, where I recall the stats above the line only apply to that item, and below the line applies globally. |

" Yep. Whether a modifier is global or local has more to do whether the modifier can apply locally to the unmodified base item. A weapon does not deal Elemental Damage by default, and thus Increased Fire Damage on a weapon is always global. Increased Energy Shield can apply locally to an ES chestpiece, and as such is a local modifier. This gets you the right answer 9/10 times, but there's a small amount of fringe cases that are a bit weird. One of those cases is conditional modifiers. For example, Scaeva has a conditional Increased Crit Chance modifier ('when in main hand'). Weapons do have a Crit Chance, which would make it a local modifier as per the rule above, but because it has a condition attached it's global instead. |

ok, sometimes there is an item that seems to have free space. If you then try to craft it at the bench you see you can´t craft it further. is there a sure way to see if you can craft further? Depends to rares not uniques but i´m not sure that i´ve complet? understand the mechanics.
Sorry for the bad english. no native Speaker. hic Rhodus, hic salta

" There are affixes that can include multiple lines in one (for example there is a hybrid Energy shield/Stun recovery affix. If you have this, and % energy shield on an item, the % energy shield, and the energy shield from the hybrid roll get combined, making them appear like one line, when really they are two different affixes). Poeaffix.net or exilemods are both sites that list all available affixes on rare gear. The crafting bench will accurately tell you if an item has no space for more mods, or if it cannot have another prefix or suffix. U MAD?
