Summon Skeletons with Less Duration

If I link Summon Skeletons with Less Duration, does the added damage from the support gem affect the skeletons, or is only the duration reduced?
Thanks in advance for clarification.

The more damage part counts for everthing because its not limited to DOTS or anything else.

For example Earthquake skill gem does no dot damage, but can be linked to less duration because it has a duration component.

I am not able to find any testing or official response on this topic. Since the tooltip in Summon Skeletons is not showing the actuall DPS, I can only guess if the buff gets applied, or just the duration reduction.

The official response is in the Less Duration description. It's an unspecified Damage multiplier, and thus applies to all Damage dealt by linked Skills.

The part that wasn't clear to me is if damage done by minions is still eligible for the bonus. For example, most passive tree nodes that say +damage don't apply to minions as far as I know. Summon skeletons doesn't deal any damage per se.
Passives and Supports are entirely and absolutely different though. Supports apply their bonuses to the linked Skill, Passives apply their bonuses to you.
Try linking Multistrike. The Summon Skeletons skill cannot Multistrike, but the Skeletons will benefit from the More Attack Speed and suffer the Repeats just fine.
