Occultist Malediction Node and Scorching Ray

I was wondering if anyone had any insight into the malediction damage benefit with regards to scorching ray.
The wiki page interprets the malediction buff as "Gain 4% of Fire Damage as extra Chaos Damage per Curse an enemy you killed Recently had".
Is it wrong to assume that the scorching ray dot damage would be included in this?

Damage conversions(yes, "gain as" is a conversion too) currently can't be applied to DoTs. So yes, it is wrong.
And worst change is putting almost all bosses in new version of maps into fucking small areas, where you can't kite well or dodge stuff. What a terrible idiot invented that I want say to him: dude flick you, seriously flick you very much.
On Hit effects dont work with Dots, that allows you to abuse EE for you use, for example use a lighning spell to apply EE on enemy for -50% Fireresis and after this, burn him.

Also you cannot leech with Ray because it dont *hit*.
If I may ask, where did OP ask anything related to SR being able to hit its targets?
