Random death bug

No monsters near me, no damage source, just popup "resurrect in town".

Lots of hp, just entered old fields in A2 merciless.
Totems were killing 1 monster half a screen away from me.

Next frame is "resurrect in town".
I do not think this is fair OR reasonable.

My only suggestion to prevent these kinds of bugs from being randomly reported is to add SOME kind of death dialog to say at least TYPE or AMOUNT of damage killing anyone.

I honestly believe I wasn't supposed to die - in an empty area without ANYTHING even remotely ATTACKING me.

Post death dialog would have been cool to be more sure, but I do believe this situation is a bug.

Hi KuraKura,

You are not alone! I experienced the same (with my L67 huntress) an hour ago. I was farming in the Mud Flats (Merciless) when suddenly "Ressurect in Town" popped up. No monster on screen - No spell animation or hit animation - Just instant death !

I immediately visited the mud flats in Normal to check if there are any fancy high damage monsters. Nothing could deal any serious damage...

...I will suggest the implementation of a "death log" in the Feedback Forums.

Since this popped up recently, are you using the Heartbound Loop unique ring?
No, I am using regular rings: Ruby and Coral. Fairgraves Tricorne is the only unique item on that character at the moment.
I didn't use that ring either. and I didnt have any minions - so at full hp it would be strange that 1 golem (or 1-2 more totems) could insta-kill me..

Wonder if this is related to a rather odd death I had the other day. Running a map on my summoner, she's in or near a patch of burning ground from a mob kill and probably cursed with Flammability, and she seemingly dies out of the blue. My thought was that maybe I missed one of those bloodline packs that drops exploding balls of funness on death and just didn't notice the explosions because of the burning ground, but I hadn't noticed any magic mob packs in the area much less purple ones and none of my minions took similar amounts of damage which would've been noticeable given that my character would've had to take over 4k in a hit to OHKO her.

Obviously I can't unequivocally say that the death wasn't my fault in any fashion, but it felt rather odd at the time .

Yeah, so my character last night died while walking in the lab. It wasn't from traps, it was in an outside area with no traps so far (the first zone). He just died, for no reason, on a sidewalk essentially, not close to enemies. I have no idea what happened. I have been popping life flasks since Nemesis came around for bleeding, so I would know if it was that. I did not see anything happen, just died. Dying from lag and what not is bad enough, but when your character just keels over from nothing, that's a doozy. Hard to want to play another character knowing that can happen.

Been having desyncs myself when playing in group, my brothers screen showing stuff that isn't happening on mine resulting in his death with no monsters around. I just had my game lock up randomly in lab refusing to recieve inputs or crashing to desktop for the 3rd time in 2 days as well... not sure what is causing it. When playing with my brother it seemed to be happening alot more when using vaal cyclone combined with my punishment aura. Probably has nothing to do with it but who knows!
