Path of Exile 1 Gameplay Help and Discussion - Mind Over Matter doesn't work with C.I.? - Forum

Syntax in this game is everything but clear. This is one of many, many situations where your first reaction is to re-read it a couple times and then think "But is that what they really mean?" Honestly I don't begrudge anyone making these mistakes. For all the inordinate amount of text in this game very little of it is used to explain core concepts. Literally an extra sentence on MoM would make this clear: "Damage to Energy Shield is unaffected." It's a keystone tooltip, not a fucking tweet, or is the tooltip guy paid by the letter? It's not that it isn't affected, it's the fact that "before Life" means "immediately before Life." I guess they just thought that "immediately" was well-implied (IMO, it isn't). Need game info?
