End of league prices?

So the league is almost over. Noticed that a lot of the prices haven't dropped. Some even still close to the start of the league. Was wondering if anyone had any thoughts as to why this might be? Is there really much point to building up wealth at this point in standard?

Standard = Rotting forever in terms of currency / gear.

Some people keep playing in Standard between leagues. And some use their currency to test builds there. I gave away all my currency at the end of previous leagues, so I have to build up my Standard currency again to be able to test stuff ;_;

I'm sure that accounts for some of it but not everyone does that. I don't know just seams weird. In leagues past prices have dropped...

Maybe. In any case, some players might sell you stuff for cheaper than listed. My friend bought a fucking good Ventor's for 1.5ex when it was listed at 5ex because he asked the guy for a deal which the guy gave him since the league is ending.

Each league i buy or drop all the newly introduced uniques so i can have them on standard.

How much i play standard? Few hours after league to sort stash, to see what i gathered, and that is all.

More active people in league maybe means that prices won't change much.

A lot of people will have returned to check out new skills and will still have tabs with old prices on them and probably aren't too bothered about updating them

(this works both ways as when I first logged in I was inundated with people wanting my new glove bases when i never sold a single one before I stopped playing_
