Blade Fury question
|
So I noticed blade fury states base damage. Doesnt specify physical. This being said im wondering if this would work with Hyoans Fury and its lightning damage. If so a Quisitor totem Hyoans build may be a solid build scaling the lightning and elemental like hell. Anyone give me alittle more insight if they have it now that the gem is visible. https://p7p4m6s5.ssl.hwcdn.net/public/bex/BladeFlurry.jpg

" No one is certain, probably... my guess however is since the damage is nondescript it probably scales damage in "general". So either would work. It scales of weapon damage so each element will probably apply. I bought a bino's just to test this crap when it releases lol... |

Weapon damage modifiers only restrict you to utilizing a weapon.
Elemental damage modifiers apply to all sources of elemental damage etc Not sure if i get what your asking, but this skill will interact with all modifiers like any other skill. All gems have a base damage %, hyaons furry with heavy strike would multiply the base damage by 1.6 for example(if i remember correctly heavy strike starts at 160% damage effectiveness) before applying other modifiers to that base result. Not sure if that helped, but your question seems vague at best. Peace, -Boem- Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes

" I get it, I asked myself in odd cases before, because there are very few pure elemental damage weapons in the game. The end result of all MY questioning was... If the gem says Attack Damage, then it just takes the flat damage of your weapon, as if you were basic attacking. This is the case with Blade Flurry. If the weapon says, converts phys to Element, and your weapon has no phys, then there is NO conversion, and you apply your weapon damage at whatever % it states. There may be cases where that isn't true, but so far with Molten Strike, Lightning Strike, Flicker Strike, Static Strike, and Infernal Blow, that's been the visible case for me, as I've been told. Pure Elemental weapons are neat, and cool...But not very clear on how they actually WORK. - Sheepster |

It is totally clear how they work. If it says "attack damage" that means every damage with a Weapon. If it says "physical damage" it is only about physical damage.
I do not get what is unclear about it. Base Damage is everything from the weapon + passive skills effecting it + global modifiers + support gems with the right key words. So what is not clear about it? |

" There was a time when certain skills like power siphon scaled only physical damage which was insanely stupid in retrospect since most phys builds are more elemental than physical. IGN: Arlianth

" Well, it wasn't a tooltip bug or anything, their level bonus said 'increased physical attack damage' so there was nothing unclear about it. And the bonus worked with all physical builds, output didn't matter as long as they did physical scaling. It didn't work with purely elemental builds probably as an intended drawback because they were very powerful back then. Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

I respecced my flicker strike oro build to dual wield hyano blade flurry and im clearing t10 maps np and theres still lots of optimisation I can do in my tree and gear. It appears as though the ele damage does scale with the Blade Flurry so it seem like it scales all damage from weapons. I'm not super great with the mechanics so I may be wrong but it seems to work really well with hyano dual wielding.
Just my 2 cents Hope it helps |
