Best skill to use with IRON WILL

Guys i'am with a problema, i theorycraft a build using iron will and put it in action.

I am currenctly using Doon Cuebiyara and with 1.100k of STR, but i'am struggling to find a skill that scales well with iron will.

I tested many skills and they do like no damage at all.
Incinarate did no damage and no chance to scale.
Flameblast was a little better, but still not good.
Blade vortex was the best (I don't have duration nodes yet)
And a lot of trash skills, these were the best.


Do you guys have some advice to me? Any skills that scales well with iron will? I'am thinking to try ED.

Are you socketing the skill in the Doon and trying to make it work like that? It won't. Use a normal 5 or 6-link.

Iron Will simply gives increased spell damage. Any spell scales with it. Spells which naturally deal more damage will scale better.

Firestorm, BV, BF, EK, incinerate, arc, flameblast, ED, etc. - anything can be scaled well enough with an IW build but some parameters will, of course, vary depending on the build.

A very solid variation is to use Pledge of Hands, Kaom's Heart, MoM, Elemental Overload and the Repentance gloves with a good roll. This will turn your main setup into almost an eight-link (6-link + spell echo and iron will). You'll also have an excellent hitpoint pool between the MoM and the high life pool. Use warlord's mark to sustain life and mana. You can reserve part of your mana for a blasphemy curse or not reserve anything and use the unique jewel which gives a chunk of spell damage if no mana is reserved (forgot the name).

This build path is tried and tested and produces a very well-balanced, beefy character without any real weaknesses. I'm sure it can be adapted to almost any spell.

Vortex (particularly ignite Vortex) scales really well with increased spell damage, since vortex makes spell damage apply to DoT as well.

The only two characters I ever played that used Iron Will gem was Righteous Fire / Firestorm and Righteous Fire / Blade Vortex. Both firestorm and blade vortex scale really well with Iron Will. Blade Vortex was a little more fun for me, but I'd say end game the RF / Firestorm build was stronger because it can be played a little more defensively when needed.

Playing a RF Iron Will Bladefall Chieften in EHC lately seems to work fairly good on just a 4link.
I know bladefall is pretty boring and was stupidly meta but it's still a very strong skill that scales with AoE nodes.


I'm only doing easy low maps currently but seems fine.


I'm wondering if you possibly invested too much into strength???
1100 strength is a ton and Regular damage nodes are generally way more effective at scaling damage.
