Essence of Delirium Decay mechanics

I thought the game only counts the single highest source of degen. How come this decay crafted by essence of delirium on weapon stacks with things like essence drain?

If this decay stacks with essence drain, does it stack with itself? e.g. If I dual wield 2 weapons with this decay mod, would the decay base damage be 2k instead of 1k?

Multiple sources of DoT can stack cumulatively, even if they share the same damage type. For example, Caustic Arrow's cloud and Essence Drain can both affect the same enemy at a given time. Since Decay is a separate debuff, it can apply alongside Essence Drain. On a related note, Decay when applied by Essence Drain becomes particularly potent due to the skill's nature of enabling spell damage to scale its DoT.

Decay doesn't stack with itself, although there's currently a bug where dual-wielding Decay weapons is doubling its damage, or so I've heard. Treat it as a long duration debuff that gives you the freedom to manually dodge while still dealing damage, rather than another Poison debuff where rapid stacking would be key to maximizing damage.
