Can the masters "craft" option overwrite or remove a modifier by "mistake"?
I want to add some modifiers like more armor or more life to some of my items, but for example my gauntlets already have 6 modifiers (1 of those is an enchantment from the lab) and i heard 6 is the maximum?, so if i wanted to add life to them its impossible or its possible but it will overwrite something at random?, also what happens if i put on an item %increased armor or something and that item dosent have armor?, like probably the answer is obvios as that modifier has no effect but who knows everything in this game is possible is better to ask.

lab modifies are implicit i think. 3 prefix, 3 suffix, and 1 implicit (when applicable). well, more implicits sometimes but lets just say that's special case scenarios from previous league mechanics which takes hundreds of hours to farm.
if master is appropriate level, and the option to add life is white (not red), you can apply the prefix life (or whatever fits the prefix or suffix slot). you can later remove master crafted mod when the appropriate master is level 7 and re-master craft the item. only the range of the roll is random. you choose everything else. putting % armor on a pure evasion or energy shield item has no affect. you can put +# armour on evasion/energy shield base items and get that +# armour added. No, master crafts don't ever replace or remove mods. The implicit modifier doesn't count towards magic modifier limit of 6.
Also note that some mods can take up 2 lines, which is usually +x% main defense / y% increased stun recovery. Even though it shows up on 2 lines, it is still 1 mod. If the master crafting bench says you CAN add a mod, then the item has 5 or fewer magical mods. Need game info? Check out the Wiki at: https://www.poewiki.net/

You're always safe to put a master craft on an item. It won't wreck your item.
