Difference: Critical Strike Chance / Critical Strike Chance for Spells

Hi,

i´m looking forward to create my first own build. I want to create a Witch, dealing great AoE-Damage with Fireball (supportet by Chain-Gem) and Firestorm.

But i have a question: Where is the difference between "Critical Strike Chance" (CSC) and "Critical Strike Chance for Spells" (CSCfS)?
Uhm, sounds like a stupid question, right ?

When i was planning my build, i´ve done a bit research and found a few similar builds.

For Example this one:

As we can see, the user picked up both - CSC and CSCfS.
When i take a look on the description for Fireball, it has a base-Critchance of 6%.

I thought, if i pick up Doomcast (60% increased CSCfS) i will have:
6% (Base) * 1,6 = 9,6% total Crit Chance for Fireball.

But why did the user pick up Skills like Bloodthirst (40% increased CSC) in his Build ?

Is it like:
a) CSC increases the Critical Stricke Chance of both - normal attacks and Spells
or
b)
CSC just increases the Critchance for normal attaks but CSCfS increases the Chance just for Spells ?

If it is like b) i would see no point in picking up CSC-increasing passives, because my Witch will use just Spells as mainattacks.

p.s.: The same question is for the Strike Damage multiplier ;-)

Antoher Question: Is it better to increase my elemental Damage or my Spelldamage? This would affect my weapon choice. If it´s ED, i would pick up a scepter, otherwise it will be a wand.

crit strike chance is crit strike chance, spell crit chance is spell crit chance. lol I don't get where the confusion comes in :)

If you cast only fireballs 10% elemental damage will increase damage of fireball by 10%, 10% elemental damage will increase damage of fireball by 10%.

Again it's just limiting to what it's affecting, both affect spells - spell dmg/elemental dmg , crit chance / spell crit chance. However spell crit chance wont affect "attacks" nor will spell damage, but plain crit chance will, and so will elemental dmg (affect elemental portions of attack damage dealt)
As i allready mentioned, it sounds like a stupid question, right ;-)

Ok, so i can take the "normal Critchance" nodes and the "Critchance for Spells" nodes.

Sorry, english is not my native language. Sometimes it´s a bit difficult to understand those things :-D

Crit chance nodes in the tree affect all your crits if there is no "for spells, with daggers, with xxxx".

So you can take both and gain crit from them.

Just for future confusion: +crit on a weapon only affects the local value and has no affect on spells, what you want is critical strike chance for spells or global critical strike chance/multiplier when it comes to equip.
