If we're talking about normal enemies any decent lightning crit build will be able to shock them using any lightning spell. Shocking rares and bosses is a different story.
Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

That's never going to happen.
Lightning Damage needs to surpass 5% of the target's Max Life, with a single Hit. Blade Vortex deals no Lightning Damage, and its low Damage Effectiveness makes flat Damage scaling ineffective for Shocking. Even with a Physical to Lightning Support in there it'll be hard, due to BV's low base Damage. |

Shock Duration does help to make it easier. With BV it might still not happen.
With 100% Increased Shock Duration, you need to deal at least 2,5% of HP to Shock for the shortest possible duration. With a single hit. At 200% Increased Shock Duration, it is 1,66%. Not sure if you can achieve that high levels of lightning damage with BV conversion on bosses. :V Real knowledge is to know the extent of one's ignorance. Ignorance more frequently begets confidence than does knowledge. Last edited by Perq#4049 on Sep 6, 2016, 6:01:46 AM
