Plateau boss is, ahem... strong

Well at least double corrupted one :D. it ripped my AG (which could facetank any previous t10 boss) in 2 seconds. And then he ripped me because how the eff am I supposed to evade volleys of lightning boombewms if they fly FROM OFFSCREEN with speed of light(like, literally less than half a second to cover the distance FROM SOMEWHERE OFFSCREEN to my character) and cover about 1/3rd of mt screen? I finally killed that biach with another char (Aegis gladiator, who would've guessed, right), but seriously, this kind of overtuning is what you GGG guys are hated for.
idk maybe it did so much damage because of map mods but anyway I'd advise you to look at his boombewms flight speed at least. There's no time to manually react to them, it is just pure defence cstats check. And worst change is putting almost all bosses in new version of maps into fucking small areas, where you can't kite well or dodge stuff. you mean 2 totems? havent found them difficult - bolts follow a pattern, nova is telegraphed and the line of storms can be sidestepped. what is random are the sparks but oh well..
i enjoy the difficulty of bosses now. no more 'easy layout, oh i've killed a boss' maps. and my fav bit is that these changes made ranged/stand-off style of gameplay a lot more risky than before. it is still THE way to play POE - nothing changed here. but stuff like Necropolis 'glacial hammer + bonespire' can and will kill many ranged players because it triggers frequently on ranged and almost never on facehug. |

Its pretty much the same as when we got the Vaal sideareas. At first they were terrifying, but you learned to deal with them and those that were too strong got towned down. The same happened with Invasion mobs.
I assume a few of the new bosses might be too strong (either in general or considering the Tier they are in) and others just follow odd mechanics. I had a rather tough time in T1 maps. Desert is unchanged, not hard but damn annoying. Crystal Ore has two bosses and although I had not much Armor I expected to do a bit better with 3,5k HP, but I needed to play around them a bit, not too hard, but again compared to the old T1 bosses miles away. |

"It has 3 attacks. First one is something that leaves shocked ground, damage-wise it is zero. Then Ball lightning, with basic positioning skill no threat too. But third shit is a volley consisting of about dozen lightning "fireballs" that fly to your location almost instantly. WTF am I supposed to do as a summoner, for example (doesn't matter if classic or SRS)? This shit kills me literally in half a second. 4300 hp, 900 ES, 75 lightning res. Again, WTF Am I supposed to do (except get rekt) if it starts spamming this shit BEFORE I CAN EVEN SEE THE BOSS? It almost looks like GGG is saying to us: "You complained about small arenas, ok, here, this arena is big, everything is fine now! Oh and btw, despite this new arena being big, boss can carpet-bomb it just as all that bosses whose small arenas you previously complained about were doing. Oh and it does it in half a second too, because we can't change gameplay too much - you know, players can be frightened by it. Have a nice day, b*tch!" i have 8000 life and the boss two-shot me from offscreen with no map mods :(

They don't seem to do much until one is dead.
I have tried to put them all below 5% and than kill them to avoid enrage when one is killed. It did not work becouse if you kill one the other is healed to full HP. The second one is cold based and deals massive damage via Ice Nova attack. But other than that he seems less scarry than the lightnig brother. His projectile ice orbs are slow and only nove deals like 4k on 80% cold resist but that was with 100% more lightning damage from maps :) Last edited by BellXIII#6171 on Sep 6, 2016, 1:07:44 AM

Interesting. Does his Ice Nova cover the whole arena? Because if not I know who's gonna die first from now on :p

Any map which has 2 bosses you should assume has mechanics that enrage if you don't kill them at the same time. That is what happened here. Interestingly enough the first time I did it, we didn't really have issues, the second time I did it solo I don't have a way to cull both at the same time and lets say that wasn't a good outcome for me.
