Essence, anyone know if IIQ works?
So we need to get lucky and stumble across a monster that has essences, so this monster will be a spawn like a rogue exile? or will it be more of an item drop? will IIQ have any effect? or only map mods for quant or whatever? or neither? Last bumped on Sep 1, 2016, 8:30:58 PM

" Since they are monsters imprisoned in essence or whatever, I am willing to bet it counts as an item drop. Whether you can force more than 1 essence to drop per essence listed on the mob will probably be something GGG wants us to find out by playing. IF so, IIQ should help more essence per drop. If not then no. "It's all clearer now

" Deterministic drops can't be "increased". The monsters drop the exact essence listed before you unseal them. It's the same principle behind why someone with 100% increased IIQ doesn't get 2 extra uniques from a strongbox that says "1 additional unique". And why atziri can't drop more than 1 of her boss drops per fight. Each monster will always drop exactly the essence(s) that are listed on it (I added the 's' because corrupting can get you more than 1) Last edited by codetaku#0468 on Sep 1, 2016, 2:20:46 PM

" You can get more than one essence without corrupting. |

yea you can get extra essences to drop with additional party members
but that's a specific mechanic. they didn't specify anything else that might effect the drop... but if there is? would be good to know. I can see how this is likely deterministic in a similar way to trials or exiles. map spawns with or without one or several and you just find it or don't. |
