Making Moonstone's Great (Acceptable) Again !
So this ring has to be the most worthless base in poe, in my 4.5yrs of playing i have never once sold or used a moonstone ring.
Perhaps changing the base would bring some much appreciated rework to it and make it a viable option for MOM EB and Hybrid Characters. My proposal is thus. ![]() I don't think its OP in the least and providing you get it a reasonable drop level say 32+ so it doesn't affect racing then it would be absolutely fine. Thoughts ? Good idea.

I imagine that GGG are way ahead of you. My guess is that they have fixed the issue in true GGG style by just ignoring Moonstone rings and implementing a new higher level ring with more implicit ES.
Moonstone Ring: it's Obso-l33t ! Face it, all of your suggestions are worse than this idea: http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/657756 Last edited by dudiobugtron#4663 on Aug 27, 2016, 5:31:31 AM

" I can easily see that happening. lol Though, Shavronne's Revelation is still awesome. Sometimes you can take the game out of the garage but you can't take the garage out of the game.

So why should coral rings exist if this was in the game? For the possibility to have an extra 5base health on implicit?
25 base ES compared to the 30 life roll of corals is not only NOT-USELESS but downright OP. Lets, buff corals to 60 life then. Maybe you dont like it understandable as an item like other people dont like unset rings, but decent moonstone rings sell as good as other decent rings and definately have their uses. A coral can roll max 109 total life (without strength), a moonstone can roll max 72 total es (without int). Seems legit doesnt it? Especially when its trivial to get 250% ES from the tree without gimping your damage, while to get more than 200% life would mean you lack in other areas. Though judging from what GGG has implemented over the years i wouldnt be surprised if we saw an upgrade to moonstones to give lets say 25-40 or even 35-50 ES. Cause why not. EDIT : Something like 10-15ES + 15-20Life is what you are looking for in case you want to appeal to hybrid users while in the same time not shit upon the rest of the similar item bases. " http://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Coral_Amulet And as Regulator said, it's not worthless at all, imho. We are getting a ES belt upgrade, we will see if we ever get a moonstone upgrade in the future. SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.

Cause of how es scaling works in this game its realy hard to up the numbers of the moonstone ring whitout making it completely broken.
Also you could divine shav rings after that and they are strong enough already they realy dont need a boost. [Removed by Support]

Lul what did i just read?
A ring that can potentially give upwards of 65ES+- in builds that maintain an average of 250% increases to their base health pool. IS BAD. Oh my, dear lord. I wonder why people call the new ES belt BROKEN. I figure you never played CI before or what? Peace, -Boem- Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes

" Fruz is right. The coral amulet needs an upgrade much more desperately. Remember when rustic sashes only gave like 8% increased damage max, and they upgraded it to 24%? The coral amulet needs a similar treatment, imo. That said, upgrading moonstone rings wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing, so long as it was accompanied by consistent upgrades in other defensive stats. Right now, poor defense in this game is making the DPS power-creep worse in a sense--killing monsters before their mechanics can activate is often the best defense, and for less well-geared players can be the ONLY viable defense. This makes the game much more pew-pew-pew and much less tactical. So I don't disagree with the basic premise of the OP, I would just qualify it heavily. Wash your hands, Exile!
