The Lord's Labyrinth

I have not been playing for a fews months, I got really frustrated, quit, and thought I'd try again.

I started playing in the beginning of Prophecy but trying to get through the Labyrinth is just not something I have the patience for. I tried a few times, got so frustrated with dying in the first part of the map I quit playing.

I loved playing this game, up until now. Why they made some stupid maze crap to complete your character tree makes no sense to me.

I came back and leveled my character, bought better gear, and die in the very beginning to the stupid blade mazes every time I try. If something doesn't change I will probably never spend any more money or play ever again after this. A shame really, as I used to like playing.

Does anyone know if they are continuing to do the mazes (Labyrinth) in the new expansion? I'm didn't read all that to find out if that is still going to be mandatory.

I over leveled, to 50, but frankly I don't think that even if I was a level 80 I'd survive getting hit by the blades. The monsters are fine, but the blade parts are what I can't survive. I haven't even gotten past the first part, and know it gets worse, and changes.

Is is necessary to beat the entire Labyrinth to get your Ascendency tree? Is there any other Options?

I cannot possibly be the only one who can't get the timing to get through this thing alive. Of course they are gone so they can't answer....

What happens to the character tree if I never do the Lord's Labyrinth for the entire game? I don't want to keep investing time into something I cannot complete.

Any ideas?

They have made no indications that they would change anything else about the lab. I had trouble when it first came out, but now I think the first 3 are pretty easy. I put off doing them until I am well above their level. Like I do the Normal one when I'm at the Cruel one's level. And I don't do the Cruel one until I'm in my 70s. Depending on how that one goes I may try the Merciless one right after. They points aren't really necessary until you get into high levels anyway. The traps aren't so bad. You don't necessarirly have to avoid them all. You just have to spend as little time as possible in them. The moving ones don't do much damage if you move against them. It's when you move with them that they really hurt. So faster movement speed really helps. And life regeneration helps too, so a stone golem can help a lot with that.

There are no known (to the public) plans regarding changes to the labyrinth. There may have been some hints indicating some degree of willingness to make changes to the labyrinth in the future though.

Trap damages are based on character HP/ES. So having more health/ES does not help.
It is possible to make builds which are almost immune to traps.

No other options. You can let somebody help you which will make it somewhat easier.

Not all are gone. There are still many of the lab haters active in the forum.

Nothing happens. You simply do not get "your" Ascendancy points. You can beat the game without them.

Z you brought up something that I never even knew that damage for the traps is based on character life.
Im playing an ES character so I doubt I will ever complete these things. I'm still not able to get through normal, and from what I've read cruel and merciless are worse.

I don't know what I am going to do in the future yet. I will try again, I guess, and hope they change this stupidity in the future.

I am quite positive I will never do this on all of my characters that is just too insane and frustrating.

I searched through the forums for this kind of post before making a new one, I could not find anything even remotely related. I did get a bunch of how to, and enchanting posts, but only found 1 other that hated the Labyrinth, and it was an old post.

From what I remember normal difficulty was actually harder for me. Because my stone golem killed the monsters and I could not get fortify/charges from them after that...

In case you are willing to put in the effort: Most people are able to learn it (it == getting through the labyrinth traps). But doing it with a life/ES hybrid setup I would not recommend.

Also, I've read that people will run the lab for you for chaos? Is this even possible and how and where?

Sort of yes. But not all offering such services can be trusted.

I do not know the details of what is possible and what is not as I only play SSF. You probably still have to get through the lab yourself but the helper will open doors, lead you along the shortest path and kill Izaro.

If you use in-game currency to pay for it and play your own character then it is "legal". Otherwise I do not know.

I have had time to read through some of the posts made by others earlier about the Lab. Too many people scoff at those that do not like it and even resort to childish replies, and don't even regard a person's opinion not to like something. so reading through them has not helped very much.

I played Ueber laby on day 2 of the league, its possible but extremly hard. If u dont like it just farm 20mins dried lake and ask guys like me for a pull. I usually sell ueber for Goddess+ 5c. So nothing terible expensive

Sadly, buying a laby carry won't be an option for you if you can't get past the traps on your own. You're really just buying a boss kill, they can't actually run the laby for you aside from opening locked doors and leading the way to the end.
